Cheerleaders ejected from an MVSU-Alabama A&M basketball game after an altercation with a player on the court

Cheerleader is DISABLED from a college basketball game after confronting and shoving a rival player in an altercation on the court after he seemed to get in the way of her stunt routine during A&M’s dramatic last-second win over MVSU

A cheerleader was kicked out of a college basketball game between Mississippi Valley State and Alabama A&M after an argument with a player.

Mississippi Valley State had just made two free throws for the 63-63 equalizer with just over three minutes left in conference play.

On the inbound pass, however, Alabama A&M’s Dailin Smith appeared to get too close to a Mississippi Valley State cheerleader as she attempted a stunt at the baseline.

As she jumped into a front hurdler, Smith appeared to make contact with her hind leg. She immediately looked behind her to see who had knocked her and she didn’t forget.

Mississippi Valley State put the ball back on the field and play was stopped after the referee called the whistle.

The cheerleader took the opportunity to go onto the court and confront the player. She appeared to shove his shoulder slightly to get his attention and said something, although it’s not clear what was said or how long the interaction lasted, since the footage was cut away.

The commentators calling the game then began discussing the incident while a woman is heard screaming for safety in the background.

“The coach at Alabama A&M, he’s fussing and swearing,” said Caleb Brunson, a cast member.

Meanwhile, Andre Williams, the other member of the broadcast crew, added that the Mississippi Valley coach “loses it.”

After a brief pause, Brunson revealed that “they’re going to take one of the cheerleaders out of the game.”

Seven members of the security staff then made their way across the courthouse to the Mississippi Valley State Cheerleading Department.

One put her arm around her shoulder and appeared to tell her she had to go before turning to the bench to get her jacket.

But the drama in the game didn’t end there. The game came to a head when Alabama State needed a buzzer beater to win 70-68.

Junior guard Messiah Thompson dribbled at the top of the key with five seconds left before dribbled to the right and fired a last-second shot as he disappeared from the basket.

The win saw Alabama A&M improve to 10-15 with a 6-6 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Meanwhile, Mississippi Valley State fell to 3-23 with a 2-10 conference record and missed a chance to stage an upset less than a month before the conference tournament.
