The 15 groups of this competition between clubs from Major League Soccer (MLS) and Liga MX were announced on Friday. The Bleu-Blanc-Noir ended up in the East 2 section with former head coach Hernan Losada’s team and recent CONCACAF Champions League finalists.
Remember that the groups were formed according to their geographic region and then their place in the final ranking. CF Montreal, runners-up in the Eastern Association, find themselves in 2022 with DC United, 27th at the Garber Circuit.
Each team plays two games and the top two formations advance to the next round. MLS and Liga MX champions Los Angeles FC and Pachuca earned a bye to the opening round.
The Leagues Cup takes place from July 21st to August 19th.
