When the Montreal club changed their identity by putting the Impact name behind them, the plan was to add that citation in 2023. Aiming to get things right, the Bleu Blanc Noir preferred to take more time.

“The Club strives to build lasting and genuine relationships with Aboriginal communities. The consultation process with the indigenous communities is still ongoing, so we have paused the distribution of this jersey,” CF Montreal said in a press release on Friday.

It’s the gray second kit from last year, which will be used by the team in the coming weeks.

In his show of the day, Jean-Charles Lajoie gave more details on the club’s decision: You can see it in the main video.
