According to The Hollywood Reporter, safety measures such as drug testing, vaccinations and mask requirements were inconsistent at various galas earlier in the year.

Some in-person events and ceremonies did not require health measures, while others, such as the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, required either testing, proof of vaccination, or both.
