That means the son of former striker Keith Primeau is available for head coach Jean-François Houle’s squad, who was set to host the Belleville Senators that night.
In particular due to the success of Samuel Montembeault, the American has had very little playing time since his recall more than two weeks ago. In fact, he only played one period, the third in last Thursday’s game against the Florida Panthers.
The demotion means Jake Allen is close to returning as he has not played since January 7 with an upper body injury.
