Elsewhere, Evangeline, 43, who plays Hope van Dyne/Wasp, dazzled in a dramatic silver sequined gown with glittery tassels.

Upping her height with silver heels, she wore her blonde tresses in her short style while completing the look with matching dangling earrings.

Also at the premiere was Kathryn Newton – who plays Cassie Lang – who made sure all eyes were on her in a purple silk dress with a corset-like neckline and thin straps.

Her slim figure showed off in the form-fitting dress and she wore her red locks in a chic top knot.

Also at the star-studded premiere was Paul Rudd, who wore a light gray suit, white shirt and black tie as he posed with Jonathan Majors.

The third film in the Ant-Man franchise is aiming for the biggest debut in franchise history at $280 million worldwide.

According to Deadline, box office analysts are forecasting a domestic balance sheet of $120 million for the four-day President’s Day holiday weekend.

The blockbuster is expected to gross an additional $160 million in its opening weekend for a total of $280 million in overseas markets worldwide.

Disney’s own forecasts, as usual, are a little softer than other analysts, with the studio hoping for $95 million over the three-day weekend and between $105 million and $110 million over the four-day holiday frame.

The superhero sequel, starring Paul Rudd – who revealed he was down to 7% body fat for the first Ant-Man, but the scene showing off his shredded body was cut for time – is expected to open in around 4,300 theaters , and even if they meet Disney’s more modest projections, it’ll still top the previous two Ant-Man films.

The 2018 sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, which will see Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly returning as the title characters, started at $75.8 million and improved to $216 from an estimated budget of $130-$195 million $.6 million domestically and $622.6 million worldwide.

While China had banned many American films for several years, it recently welcomed back Avatar: The Way of Water and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever before Ant-Man and the Wasp debuted in the Middle Kingdom.

It will be the first Marvel film to debut in Chinese theaters in almost four years, since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and the Sony/Marvel co-production Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The $280 million international debut is expected to gross around $35 million to $55 million from Chinese theaters.

The sequel will also launch in international markets like France, Korea, Germany and Italy on Wednesday ahead of Friday’s domestic debut.

Unfortunately, while the box office forecast appears to be a franchise high for Ant-Man, reviews are at a franchise low.

The first wave of reviews came out Tuesday afternoon, with the sequel getting just 55% of the first 115 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
