The actor Carlos Villagran Eslava made history on Mexican television by playing the role quico under “Key”. He is the second of four children and his family was very poor.
Carlos had to combine his studies with work as a photographer. His dream was to become a comedian or a football player, but he never succeeded in the latter. Luckily, he rose to prominence when he joined the cast of “El Chavo del Ocho.”
He also starred in El Chapulín Colorado, playing several famous characters, such as the bandit Almost Nothing. After the success, Villagrán began appearing in commercials and even recorded solo albums with the character. Quico became one of the favorites of the series after Seu Madruga, played by Ramón Valdés.
Carlos took to his Instagram to post a rare photo of his father alongside his two grandchildren.

In the comments, he received hundreds of comments from Brazilian fans.
The series was quite successful in Brazil when it was shown on open television, becoming even more famous here than in Mexico.
