The operation, which will involve Americans, Cubans and Argentines, will use journalistic media
regionally and nationally with the aim of reporting negatively on the VII Celac Summit.

Caracas, January 19 (RHC) A strong campaign against the delegations of Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Mexico is being weaved today through the press and social networks with the aim of discrediting these nations during the Celac summit.

Katu Arkonada, a member of the network of intellectuals in defense of humanity, complained in an article entitled “From the FTAA to CELAC, US interference does not stop,” published on the website of the PSUV’s International Solidarity Communication Brigades has been published.

The operation, involving Americans, Cubans and Argentines, will use regional and national media with the aim of providing negative coverage of the VII Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac).

The meeting, scheduled to take place on January 24, will be attended by around 15 heads of state from the region, including Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, whose country recently announced its rejoining the integration bloc.

Arkonada announced that to carry out the plan, funds from United States federal agencies and others will be used for social projects of the Organization of American States to finance the transfer of elements of the Latin American ultra-right to Buenos Aires to carry out actions at the meeting.

The former adviser to the Bolivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that given the complex situation in which the official Cuban airline finds itself as a result of the blockade and the possibility of using a Russian or Venezuelan plane, “they are considering a legal maneuver to take the plane keep .” .

He recalled that it would be similar to what happened recently with the Venezuelan-Iranian Emtrasur cargo plane, which is still being held in Argentina.

Another maneuver, he stressed, is aimed at mobilizing counter-revolutionary Cubans, Argentines and people of other nationalities in Buenos Aires to demonstrate in front of the embassies of the above-mentioned countries.

The political scientist pointed out that, as at the previous summit in Mexico, the intention is to use the contacts of the counter-revolutionary of Cuban origin Rosa María Payá with the President of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou, to explain the attacks on Cuba during the meeting.

They are also taking steps with the Paraguayan and Ecuadorian delegations to make statements against the governments labeled “dictatorial” at the summit, he said.

Among those planning the attacks against Celac, Arkonada mentioned the well-known counter-revolutionaries Orlando Gutiérrez Boronat, President of the Democratic Directorate of Cuba, and Luis Manuel de la Caridad Zuñiga Rey, a former CIA agent.

Also included are Tomás Pedro Regalado y Valdez, former Mayor of Miami; Gabriel Salvia, President of the Center for the Inauguration and Development of the Latin America Foundation; Rosa María Payá, supported by Marcos Rubio and Luis Almagro, and Agustín Antonetti, coordinator of the Fundación Libertad youth group, and others.
