California, the plane catches fire after landing on the freeway

A small plane crashed in Los Angeles: the pilot and the passenger on board were unharmed

The pilot and passenger of a small single-engine plane escaped unscathed after crash-landing on a California highway. Andrew Cho, who was flying the Piper Cherokee, had lost power and decided to use Freeway 91 near Corona, Riverside County, east of Los Angeles, as a runway. However, while he was on the road, one of the wings hit a pickup truck, and the plane began spinning and spraying fuel onto the tarmac. The plane caught fire, but Cho and the passenger were able to disembark and escape.
