The event happened just before 6 a.m. on rue Éva-Sénécal, in the Pintendre sector.

Three hooded people then tried to break open the door of a residential building.

Passers-by then saw them and contacted the authorities.

The suspects then joined a vehicle parked nearby where a woman was waiting for them to flee.

“With the help of witnesses who were able to describe the people and the car well, we were able to arrest them a few streets from the scene of the crime,” explains Véronique Blouin, spokeswoman for the Police Directorate of the City of Lévis (SPVL).

Two of the arrested men are 19 years old, the third 18 years old.

The woman who was also arrested in this case is 21 years old.

They are all from the greater Montreal area.

The suspected burglars were released on Tuesday with a promise to appear at a later date.

They are charged with burglary, trespassing and intentionally wearing a disguise.
