Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon has been hospitalized after suffering a second heart attack.
The 51-year-old actor, who played Xander on the 1990s series, was taken to the ER for treatment and is now resting and “focusing on doctor appointments,” according to his sister in an Instagram post shared for him.
Last year Nicholas underwent surgery after suffering from “paralysis in his genitals” and legs. His manager claimed this was because he was forced to sleep in a concrete-floored jail cell after his arrest for prescription fraud.

Brendon was arrested for attempting to purchase prescription drugs under a false identity in September 2021.
He was charged with prescription fraud for a controlled substance and refusing to identify himself when he was pulled over by an Indiana police officer last month.
Brendon claims that sleeping in a concrete floor prison cell after his arrest made his spinal problems worse.
He was hoping to recover from the off-screen drama to promote his new film Wanton Want but is “devastated” by his medical struggles, his manager Theresa Fortier told .

Brendon is awaiting the results of scans of his back and groin but will need intensive and major surgery on his back over the next few days.
He suffers from Cauda Equina Syndrome, a condition in which the nerve roots in the lumbar spine are compressed, disrupting movement, sensation and often function of the genitals, bladder and bowel.
Fortier revealed the “heartbreaking” news for the actor, who was hoping for success with his new psychological thriller about two couples who hide secrets on a weekend getaway.
“Right now he is focused on his health. He’s not promoting the film,” Fortier said.
“Things have deteriorated drastically over the past week and a half. He suffers from paralysis in his genitals and private parts.
“He had trouble flying. Unfortunately, his condition means he needs surgery because of his mounting problems. I wish he was on the mend and able to promote this film.’
Sad news: Nicholas had starred in the Prime Video film Wanton Want but had to quit his advertising commitments to undergo major spinal surgery
Fortier insists his problems have worsened since the star’s arrest and the night in a jail cell, adding: “During the arrest, they weren’t very careful about his condition.
“It has exacerbated the symptoms of his previous injury and the paralysis is starting to reappear. He may have blown another pane or everything is out of alignment.
“So sleeping on a cement floor with other inmates was not conducive to healing and aggravated his injury and he has been in immense pain with numbness and paralysis ever since.
“The hospital needs to take him for another spinal surgery to correct whatever happened.”
Fortier announced that Brendon also needs knee surgery due to a previous MCL and ACL tear.
The manager, who said she is Brendon’s best friend, revealed that he suffered from long-standing back problems, which worsened after he fell at her Indiana home in February.
Reports in recent months have claimed Brendon has been struggling to pay medical bills for his procedures and treatments, but Fortier insisted his fees be covered.
It’s not the first time the actor has been arrested and charged in alcohol-related incidents.
In 2010, Brendon was tasered by Los Angeles police after responding to a call about intoxicated behavior.

He was later charged with one count of resisting arrest, two counts of assaulting a police officer, and one count of vandalism.
The star did not deny the charges and received a one-year suspended sentence after checking into a treatment center in Malibu.
However, Brendon’s legal troubles began again in 2014 when he was arrested for allegedly vandalizing an Idaho hotel room.
In 2015, he was arrested again for vandalizing a hotel room, this time in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
