Bruno Gagliasso’s brother is a candidate in Bolsonaro’s party

Actor Bruno Gagliasso’s brother, Thiago Gagliasso, is running for state deputy for Rio de Janeiro. The confirmation was made by the PL (Liberal Party) last Friday (29). The former participant in the A Fazenda 4 program had signaled since 2020 that he wanted to run for public office this year.

Thiago has been a supporter of Jair Bolsonaro’s government, even declaring in December last year that he wanted to enter politics to “crush the left”. In 2018, for example, he took action against his brother and criticized the then candidate Fernando Haddad (PT).

The PL is the same party that Jair Bolsonaro will stand for reelection. At first there was the possibility that Thiago Gagliasso would try to get a seat in the Chamber of Deputies. However, after a meeting between him and the Liberal Party executive committee, it was decided that he would seek a seat in the Alerj (Rio de Janeiro Legislative Assembly).

As it turned out On the screen, Thiago Gagliasso is believed to have the potential to have a meaningful voice in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In addition to being a wellknown figure, the former actor is considered to be a wellconnected individual who is able to garner votes from artists associated with the right.

If elected, it wouldn’t be the first time Thiago has held public office. In 2019 he was elected Secretary of State for Culture and Creative Industries (SECEC) of Rio de Janeiro. The governor of Rio de Janeiro at the time was Wilson Witzel.

Witzel was one of President Jair Bolsonaro’s allies at the time, but fell apart in the first half of his government. The chief of the federal executive branch accused Wilson of betraying him to try to run for president of the republic this year. In April 2021, the former governor was indicted.

With the candidacy confirmed by the PL, Thiago will be in the same group as Governor Cláudio Castro. The current head of state executive will try to remain in office but will have a heated argument with Marcelo Freixo (PSB), who recently forged an alliance with Cesar Maia (PSDB) to become his deputy.

In 2018, after an argument with Giovanna Ewbank, Thiago shared the conversation with his followers and criticized his sisterinlaw. Since then, the brothers broke off their relationship and stopped talking.

The former A Fazenda 4 contestant has already regretted the incident, but clarifies that he no longer has any affinity with the actor. In an interview with the Ewbank and Fernanda Paes Leme podcast, Bruno said he has great memories of Thiago, but today they cannot have a brotherly friendship because the conflict between the two has been exposed.

The Netflix artist has already confirmed that he will support and vote for former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). In a good mood, he even showed off a PT towel while chatting with his wife and best friend. Bruno is a champion of agendas such as the environment and the promotion of culture.
