Brooke Shields shared a look at the poster for her new two-part documentary titled Pretty Baby, based on her 1978 film in which she played a prostitute aged 11.

The 57-year-old movie star is seen in profile today alongside a photo of her younger self to help advance the project, which will debut on Hulu later this year.

“I’m honored to share the key art for Pretty Baby with you,” the actress wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. “I’m so excited that you are watching this documentary, premiering this week on sundance.org and coming soon to Hulu!! ☀️’

The film is slated to debut Friday in Park City, Utah as part of the Sundance Film Festival schedule.

Director Lana Wilson also promoted the film on social media and wrote, “Thrilled to announce that PRETTY BABY: BROOKE SHIELDS, a two part documentary series I made for @hulu with @abcnews, @bedby8productions and @matadorcontent, at will celebrate the world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2023!

The Sundance website notes that the documentary will explore how Brooke was sexualized early in her career, not only in Pretty Baby but also in films like The Blue Lagoon and Endless Love and Calvin Klein’s infamous jeans ad , influenced the young star’s life and how those attitudes can influence young women today.

The People’s Choice Award winner has collaborated on the project, which will look back on her first marriage to tennis star Andre Agassi, her tumultuous relationship with her mother Teri, and her own struggles with motherhood.

In a recent interview on Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea podcast, the Flower Shop Mysteries star revealed that therapy has helped her “focus on the things I wanted to emulate, rather than just the things I wanted to.” not wanting to replicate tat,” from her mother’s parenting style.

The doting mum, who shares daughters Rowan, 19, and Grier, 16, with husband Chris Henchy, 58, may have spoken for all parents when she said: “Sometimes loving so much is just a pain in the ass.”

George Stephanopoulos, who helped produce the film with Brooke’s best friend Ali Wentworth, spoke to Good Morning America, who pointed out that Brooke “stored every photo, every ad, every interview for over 40 years.”

He commended the director behind Taylor Swift’s documentary Miss Americana for “doing an incredible job of putting together a story that is truly a universal story about all young women.”
