Bronny James, signee from Kentucky, run McDonald’s All Americans

Led by Bronny James and four Kentucky signers, 22 of the ESPN 100’s top 23 prospects were named to the 46th Annual McDonald’s All American Game.

The rosters were unveiled Tuesday on ESPN’s NBA Today.

Kentucky, which has the #1 recruiting class in 2023, leads with its four signers. Top prospect Justin Edwards, No. 3 DJ Wagner and No. 4 Aaron Bradshaw lead the Wildcats’ group, while No. 21 Reed Sheppard rounds out the quartet. Robert Dillingham, the fifth member of John Calipari’s senior class, was not eligible as he joined Overtime Elite after leaving Donda Academy (California).

Dillingham, ranked 11th on the ESPN 100, is the highest-ranking player not selected for the game.

Duke’s No. 2 Recruiting class is represented by Mackenzie Mgbako (No. 8), Jared McCain (No. 12), and Sean Stewart (No. 16). Michigan State and Oregon each have two signers in the game.

A total of 15 different colleges — and the G League Ignite program — are represented in the rosters.

Only one non-signed player was included in this year’s roster: Bronny James, son of LeBron James. James, a 6ft 3 guard at Sierra Canyon High School (California), has steadily improved his game throughout his high school career and is now considered one of the better two-way guards in the class. He is recruited by Oregon, Ohio State, USC and others.

The McDonald’s All American Games, boys and girls, will be held on March 28 at the Toyota Center in Houston.
