British girl, 17, “raped in Mallorca by a ‘famous’ actor and musician who made her shower at their hotel after a sex attack to wash away evidence”

A British teenager was reportedly raped on the holiday island of Mallorca by two men described as “a famous Vietnamese actor and musician”.
The 17-year-old told police the sexual assault took place last weekend at a hotel in Andratx, south-west of the island, after meeting and socializing with the artists at a nearby restaurant.
The girl’s aunt is said to have alerted the police after being contacted by her relative.
The island’s well-regarded newspaper Ultima Hora reported the teenager told officers the men, aged 37 and 42, let them shower after the alleged rape to remove evidence that could incriminate them.
The newspaper described the alleged rapist as an “actor and musician with a long professional career in the Southeast Asian country”.
They were arrested at the unnamed hotel in Andratx in the early hours of Saturday morning and have now been released on bail but are not allowed to leave Spain pending an ongoing criminal investigation.
The British teenager is believed to have left the island with her family after corroborating her police statement before the same judge.

Ultima Hora says the men and girl are staying in separate hotels in the municipality of Andratx and struck up a conversation at a nearby restaurant before agreeing to go to where the Vietnamese couple was staying after spending time with spent them on the beach.
She was examined as part of standard protocol by doctors at Son Espases Hospital in the Mallorcan capital, Palma, before giving her statement to the police.
Neither of the two arrested men has been named. In addition to being banned from leaving Spain, they were also asked to hand in their passports.
According to local reports, they refused to answer questions when they appeared before the coroner shortly after their arrest.
It is not yet known if they were formally questioned by the police before being taken to court for a hearing.

A police source confirmed last night that they had been called to deal with an alleged rape at a hotel in Andratx.
The source said: “Two Vietnamese nationals were arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning and investigations are ongoing.”
Court officials were not immediately available for comment.
It is unclear whether the 37-year-old actor and the 42-year-old musician, who were arrested in connection with the alleged hotel sex attack, were on holiday in Mallorca or had traveled to the island for professional reasons.
