Breaking Bad: Aaron Paul & Bryan Cranston Reprise Roles in Super Bowl Ad

The Super Bowl is just a few weeks away and with it comes big publicity. One of those ads will see the iconic duo of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul stepping back into theirs breaking Bad Roles of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman for a PopCorners commercial.

The company announced its upcoming commercial on Twitter and shared a short video of Paul as Pinkman in the suit he used to cook meth in breaking Bad, eat some popcorners in the desert. As he does so, his phone rings, and as he picks it up, the camera pans out to reveal the iconic RV that both Pinkman and Walter White used on the show.

While Cranston’s Walter White didn’t appear in the commercial, it appears his character will appear in it at some point. Earlier this month, Cranston took to Instagram to share a photo of Walter White photoshopped with a bag of PopCorners in hand. In the caption, he also teased his inclusion in the ad, which is scheduled to run on February 12, 2023, the same day as Super Bowl LVII.

The upcoming ad will mark only the third time the two have played the characters together on screen since breaking Bad‘s finale in 2013. The first time was in a flashback scene in the breaking Bad sequel movie El Caminowhile the second was in a cameo scene in the sixth season of the spin-off series Better call Saul.
