It seems that Kylie Minogue’s self-titled wine brand is proving to be quite lucrative for the princess of pop.

According to The Mirror, the singer’s sales have “helped increase her wine fortune by £9.3million”.

The publication reports that her Kylie Minogue Wines brand sold more than 7 million bottles last year and her Prosecco grossed a staggering £7.7million.

She also reportedly had millions in revenue from her other businesses, including her touring company and Darenote Limited, which receives revenue from lucrative sponsorship deals and her lingerie brand.

In May last year it was reported that their pink Prosecco had become Britain’s best-selling celebrity branded fizzy drink.

The Australian singer launched her range of wines two years ago, but the 12-pound pink fizz rose to stardom as Britain’s best-selling branded Prosecco rosé, The Times reported.

The rosy alcoholic drink accounted for a sixth of the market share (15.8 per cent) this year and grossed £7.7m in sales, a third more than its competitor, according to analysis by Nielsen.

Kylie Minogue, 54, said: “Celebrity wines can carry a stigma but I think we’ve sidestepped that through a shared pursuit of quality.

“It’s overwhelming that we’ve reached so many people with the wine portfolio, especially considering we launched it during lockdown.

“I think people can feel my zest for this brand. Making this a reality has not been without obstacles, but it is truly an affair of the heart.’

Kylie’s wines are also sold in top restaurants for up to £110 a bottle, the Carlyle Hotel in New York and Annabel’s, the private members’ club in London.

Kylie rose to fame in the 1980s thanks to her role in Neighbors and soon after released her first single, The Loco-Motion, which went to No. 1 for seven weeks and became the best-selling single of the 80s in the country.

Since then she has released tracks like Spinning Around, Wow and Can’t Get You Out of My Head.
