Bindi Irwin captured the moment as her one-year-old daughter Grace Warrior waved at a photo of her late grandfather Steve.
Posting on Instagram on Monday, Bindi, 24, shared a video of her angelic toddler searching for posters of Steve outside an animal enclosure at Australia Zoo.
“Is he here? grandpa crocodile And he’s wearing his construction hat!’ Bindi cooed off camera as little Grace pointed to a poster showing Steve wearing a hard hat.

“You love Grandpa Crocodile. Yes, love, love! Good girl. Love to Grandpa Crocodile,” she continued as Grace beamed, wide-eyed, and waved at the poster.
Crocodile Hunter Steve tragically died in September 2006 at the age of 44 after being stabbed in the chest by a stingray while filming a wildlife documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.
Bindi was just eight years old at the time.

After his death, Steve’s family, including his children Bindi and Robert, widow Terri and son-in-law Chandler, have continued his work to protect wildlife at Australia Zoo.

Speaking to People magazine earlier this year, Bindi and Chandler said the advice they received during their first year as parents taught them so much about raising their child.
Bindi’s father Steve Irwin, known to millions around the world as ‘the crocodile hunter’, died on September 4, 2006 at the age of 44 after being stung in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary about the Great Barrier Reef was. (Seen here in LA in November 2003)

“You get a lot of information, opinion and advice, and as a new parent you’re like, ‘I have to follow this,’ and you feel pressured to try to be the perfect parent, to come up with the perfect routine let,” Chandler told the publication.
“I think the best advice I got was the fact that you can read any baby book, you can take everyone’s advice into account, but at the end of the day you know what works for your child,” Bindi added.
“And that was so liberating for me.”
