Bills’ Sean McDermott opens up on Stefon Digg’s sudden exit from the dressing room after Bengals loss

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs revealed his frustrations during Sunday’s divisional round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and voiced it late in the game to quarterback Josh Allen on the touchline before finally quickly exiting Highmark Stadium.

Post-game reports showed that Diggs attempted to leave the locker room with his belongings before the coaches addressed the team, but was stopped by the practice team, who ran back to Duke Johnson.

“He’s a competitive guy and that makes him good as you’ve seen. He’s very competitive, like all of us. We work extremely hard on these jobs to be the best we can be and it hurts. I wouldn’t want it for a guy who wasn’t in pain,” McDermott said during his post-game press conference.

“He risked everything out there. We risked everything and tonight it wasn’t good enough and that’s the part that hurts.”

“I’m proud of her, even if it hurts. Proud of them for how they handled the ups and downs and adversities they’ve faced with class this year and I think they’ll take that with them, but for now that stings,” added McDermott.

“I wish it was a different result.”
