US President Joe Biden’s corona test is still positive. Biden’s doctor Kevin O’Connor said the test also worked Sunday morning. However, the 79-year-old continues to feel comfortable and remains in isolation. The White House had already announced on Saturday that Biden had tested positive and said the president had no symptoms of the disease.
It was likely something of a setback, as it occurs in a small percentage of patients who, like Biden, were treated for Corona with the antiviral drug Paxlovid, it was said.
Biden had already tested positive ten days ago. At the time, he was said to have very mild symptoms. The president then isolated himself until last Wednesday and the other tests during the week were said to be negative.
According to the White House, Biden is fully vaccinated and had his vaccination boosted twice. He said in a video on Twitter on Saturday night that he felt fine.
