Characters from 'Al Characters from “Alm da iluso” wowed audiences in the 6 o’clock area (Photo: TV Globo / Reproduction) Set in the 1940s, TV Globo’s soap opera “Alm da iluso” delivered everything that fans of the 6 o’clock soap enthusiastic operalike: romance, drama, family plots, impeccable costumes and bizarre scenography. Therefore, viewers used social networks to say goodbye to the storyline, which aired the final chapter this Friday (19/08).

One of the highlights at the end of the series is the scene where Joaquim (Danilo Mesquita) rescues his former enemy Davi (Rafael Vitti) after he nearly drowns while performing a magic trick. In the story, the two fight over the heart of Dorinha (Larissa Manoela). Soap opera fans were hoping for redemption from the bad character.

The great love triangle had a happy ending. While Dorinha and Davi were getting together and expecting a child, Joaquim was recovering after serving four years in prison for the crimes he committed. In the end, he found his birth father and got honest.

Suicide and a love that stole the show

Besides Joaquim, Davi and Isadora, another storyline that won over Beyond Illusion fans is that of Matias (Antonio Calloni). After spending the entire story with mental health issues after murdering his daughter Elisa (Larissa Manoela) at the beginning of the soap opera, the character threw himself into the lake but his body was never found. In the last scene, Matias appears older and lives as a stranger on the street.

Calloni’s performance was highly acclaimed throughout the show as the character everyone “liked to hate”. And the result of Matias caused viewers to praise the actor’s performance.

Today this story ends and I will honor the great performance and performance of Antnio Calloni as Matias.
One of the best characters that made me hate and sympathize from the first moment even though I didn’t mean to.

“I’m lucky that I can talk to God. And he says to me: Trust me, Matias. ‘Cause I forgive you I tell you the truth, Matias: the asylum is not for you. Your place next to Elisa. GOD.”

But more than emotions, Calloni’s result cleared the way for Violeta (Mallu Galli) and Eugnio (Marcelo Novaes) to embrace the relationship. At various times, the supporting couple held more conversations among viewers than the main core.

So much so that the tags “bye Violeta Camargo” and “Euleta” — borrowing from the couple’s names — were in high demand during the final chapter’s exhibition. The wedding scene between them made fans’ hearts beat faster.

my heart is pounding when i think that i won’t be able to watch my favorite character of the last few years on tv every day, but very thankful that i dared so much with her
