Bethenny Frankel says Kim Kardashian’s skincare line is “impractical at best” and likens the packaging to Rubik’s Cube in a brutally honest review
Bethenny Frankel gave a brutally honest review of Kim Kardashian’s new skincare line, SKKN by Kim.
The 51-year-old reviewed two SKKN products, the $55 scrub and the $75 eye cream, in a video posted to her TikTok account on Monday.
While Bethenny was ultimately happy with the “quality” skincare products, she slammed the packaging as “impractical at best,” likening it to a Rubik’s Cube, and overall rated it as “probably a bit overpriced.”

The former Real Housewives Of New York star wore a white bathrobe and a head full of wet hair as she gave fans the lowdown.
She initially took offense at the egg-shaped packaging of the eye cream.
‘The packaging. This is an eye cream, it’s bulbous, I don’t get it because it doesn’t stack…it doesn’t even have a flat bottom so it’s handy as an egg. I think it has a teeny tiny flat bottom, but that’s impractical at best,” she explained.
She also had an issue with the scrub, a scrub that came in a bulky container that Bethenny imagined would be difficult to travel with.
‘Probably a bit overpriced’: Frankel broke down the $55 scrub and $75 eye cream
“I don’t get it”: Frankel was tough on the product’s egg-shaped design
‘That’s crazy!’ She began. “It’s gigantic! How do you want to travel with it? If you don’t have a private plane you must be a billionaire to use this product because if you don’t have a private plane then how do you travel on it?
“It’s just not practical, and I’m a very practical and organized person. This shocks me because don’t the Kardashians organize their jelly beans by color?
She hilariously compared it to a Rubik’s Cube as she tried to open the package.
“Oh my god, it’s a Rubik’s Cube!” She said. “Do you hear that sound? That’s satisfying,” she said, as she tried to open the product before mistaking it for “Bulk-o.”

While Bethenny was strict with the packaging, she was pleased with the actual product itself.
However, she said it’s unlikely to be worth the steep price tag.
“The actual product of the peeling smells a little, no problem! And it’s got these micro-white specks, you know, we’ve seen them before, I have a feeling it was Proactiv or someone else had these micro-white specks, different lines have them. I like this form of exfoliation,” she said.
Endnote: Frankel said the products are “unlikely” worth the cost
“Is it worth the money they’re asking? Unlikely. And as for the eye cream, luxurious product, very nice, like a melted butter consistency but not like ultra rich. I have a feeling it would be Chantecaille, Sisley Rich for that price. It’s not rich in Kardashian. It may be richer than me, but it’s not Kardashian rich.
“This is definitely good skincare, this is quality, I just find it extremely inconvenient in packaging, I know it’s very ecological, it’s a good quality product that’s probably a bit overpriced, but most beauty products are overpriced .”
Bethenny posted the video to her TikTok account on Monday, where she captioned it with a series of hashtags: “And the award for the most awkward packaging goes to…”.
