An accident. Ben Affleck’s mother was rushed to the hospital shortly before her son’s second wedding to Jennifer Lopez. The Argo director’s mother was taken in an ambulance from his Georgia home, where their three-day wedding will be held.
An ambulance was seen at Ben’s home in Riceboro, Georgia, according to the Chron. Ben’s car followed shortly after. A source told the outlet that Ben’s mother, Christopher Anne Boldt, fell off a dock and cut her leg and that Ben allegedly found her and called the ambulance. J-Lo was spotted in the hospital, and Ben was spotted outside smoking a cigarette while waiting for his mother to have stitches. Later photos showed Ben exiting the hospital in a wheelchair.
Wedding preparations are underway for Ben and J-Lo’s big day – or the weekend! The couple were planning a second big wedding with all their friends and family over the weekend of August 19, 2022. The wedding takes place at Ben’s estate, which he bought in 2003 when he first started dating J-Lo. The house has a high sentimental value for the Argo director. “Ben has always loved the country, nature and life by the water,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “Georgia has always been a special and peaceful place for him. He always felt comfortable there. He got his home in Riceboro while dating Jen and loved that there they could be low key and private. He used to have a personal boat next to his property and hung out on the water. When he first bought the house, it was a reconstruction of a plantation-style house, made by architect Jim Strickland. Ben and Jen have redesigned the house according to their personal taste. There’s no question Ben and Jen love the location.”

Many high profile guests will be in attendance including Jimmy Kimmel, Matt Damon and Ben’s brother Casey Affleck. J-Lo’s kids and Ben’s kids with Jennifer Garner will be there keeping their fingers crossed for their dad, however the Adam Project actress will not be in attendance.
J-Lo broke the news of her first wedding to Ben on July 17, 2022 in her OnTheJLo newsletter. She described the wonderful details of the wedding: how they arrived and how everything came so suddenly for her. “Last night we flew into Vegas, queued for a license with four other couples and all made the same trip to the wedding capital of the world,” she wrote on July 17, 2022. “Behind us, two men were holding hands and holding each other. Before us, a young couple who made the three-hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday—we all want the same thing—for the world to recognize us as partners and for the world to recognize our love through the ancient and almost universal symbol of marriage .” She signed the newsletter, “With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”
