Ben Affleck may be one of the most famous actors alive, but that doesn’t mean he’ll always be recognized in Medford, Massachusetts.

In a Super Bowl ad teased earlier this week, Affleck returns to his New England roots after his sad performance at the Grammys by working the drive-thru window at Dunkin’ Donuts in the Boston suburbs. “How can it be so cheap and good?” he asks over the intercom – a bit difficult to sell as the customer is already waiting for the coffee.

And if people are surprised to come face-to-face with Affleck, whose love for the donut franchise is legendary, they’re even more amazed when he adds another 10 free munchkins to their order. However, things take a turn when Jennifer Lopez pulls up to find out what her husband does for a living.

Given the long history of paparazzi footage of Affleck juggling giant mugs of Dunkin’ coffee, this speaking role was inevitable — and effective. On the one hand fellow actor Devon Sawa, tweeted that it was “the greatest thing ever filmed!!!!!!” We’ll have to see if another fast food commercial can top that.
