The 19-year-old English actress reflected on her departure from The Worst Witch, which she announced in an Instagram post in February 2020, urging her followers to make their mental health a priority.
“I know there was a lot of publicity that I left [The Worst Witch] for mental health reasons,” Bella told Elle in an interview while promoting her new HBO series, The Last Of Us.

“I would say the more accurate description is that by this point I had resolved many of my mental health issues. This isn’t something I want to expand on and have the recurring issues that come out of this first season. I don’t have to or want to do that anymore,” she clarified.
Bella developed what she later came to know as an eating disorder while filming season one and despite vowing to leave the series, she returned to portray Mildred Hubble for seasons two and three before announcing her departure.
English actress Lydia Page, 20, took on the role of Mildred in the fourth season.

The film also stars Pedro Pascal, 47, hardened survivor Joel who is hired to smuggle Ellie out of a oppressive quarantine zone.
The dystopian drama, directed by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, drew 4.7 million viewers on linear TV and HBO Max on Sunday.
The Last Of Us – 20 years after a global pandemic – was the cable network’s second-biggest debut after House Of The Dragon’s historic 9.986 million viewers last August.

It currently has a “Certified Freshness” rating of 99% critic approval (out of 102 reviews) and a 96% viewer rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Bella previously played Lyanna Mormont on the HBO fantasy series Game Of Thrones.
