Beauty and the Geek’s Tara and Michael prove opposites attract as they vote to stay together as a couple
“Beauty and the Geek” Tara Schwarz and Michael Gebicki have decided to stay together as a real-life couple after meeting on the show.
The shy geek and outgoing beauty found that opposites attract after being brought together on Channel Nine’s heartwarming dating show.
They confirmed their romance on Sunday’s episode during a game of “Slow or Steady” similar to MAFS commitment ceremonies.

The two each voted to make their relationship official, which is unusual for BATG as the couples usually choose to just be friends.
During the segment, each couple had to text “steadily” if they wanted to make their relationship official, or “slowly” to remain friends.
Michael revealed that he wasn’t expecting to hook up with anyone and was keen to take the next step in their relationship.

“I met a girl who complements me in the best way, I didn’t expect that,” he said as he opened his envelope to reveal his decision.
Tara then opened her envelope to reveal that she had also written “steadily.”
“I met a guy who actually made me believe in love again, so that’s really special,” she said.
It comes after the couple’s fledgling romance was put to the test when the adorable mermaid actress visited Michael’s ramshackle flat share for the first time.

When Michael walked in, Tara was surprised at his living situation.
“This is my seat,” he said, beginning with a laugh.
“My goodness,” a shocked Tara replied.
It comes after Tara and Michael’s romance was tested when the adorable mermaid actress visited his dirty, ramshackle home for the first time
Michael then showed Tara around his apartment, complete with a broken and rusted shower, torn curtains, and a dirty stove.
The exterior of the house was covered in peeling paint and trash was strewn about the backyard.
Before the tour, Tara said she has strong feelings for the child entertainer.
