Earlier in the day, Brittany urged fans to get the flu shot so they don’t get caught in her dire situation.

She explained that her symptoms were so bad that she felt like she was “dying,” adding that it was the “sickest thing I’ve ever been.”

“If you haven’t had a flu shot yet, this is your reminder to get one,” she said.

“I’m literally sicker than ever with the flu and I didn’t get my flu shot on time and I feel like I’m dying.

“So yeah, go get the flu shot so you don’t get it.”

She added, “Every part of my body is in agony … My head hasn’t stopped pounding in two days to the point where I’m throwing up and nothing can fix it.”

Brittany said the flu makes you feel like you’ve been hit by a bus and her throat is so sore she has trouble speaking and it hurts even to cough.

Professor Catherine Bennett, Chair of Epidemiology at Deakin University, told Daily Mail Australia that Covid restrictions coupled with unusual weather are responsible for the 87,989 flu cases reported earlier this season.

dr Bennett added that low flu shot rates after mass Covid vaccination programs could mean people get sick more often.

“After two low flu seasons, actually virtually no season in 2021, we don’t have the usual cross-immunity from recent exposure,” she said.
