The final cut of the sequence has 3 hours and 10 minutes28 minutes longer than the first film.
the first chapter of ‘avatar’ had nothing less than 162 minutes long (almost two hours and forty minutes) and the filmmaker had already stated that he wanted to go even further in the sequel.
“I don’t want anyone to complain about the length, especially since they’re sitting and running a marathon. [de séries] for eight hours,” he commented. “I see that part already in the reviews: ‘The threehour dying film…’. It’s like leave me alone. I watched fivehour episodes with my kids. That’s the societal paradigm that needs to change: it’s okay for you to get up and go to the bathroom.”
It is worth remembering that we have already seen 15 minutes of the film, it arrives in national cinemas December 15 of this year13 years after the release of the original.
