A violent brawl between two upstate New York teenagers was caught on camera and shows a 17-year-old student stabbing his 18-year-old classmate in the hand and back before being stopped by teachers.

The vicious attack took place Monday at Proctor High School Utica and was filmed by onlookers and posted on social media.

The footage shows the student running at his classmate in their school’s hallway before he is seen lunging at him and the man quickly punches back, slamming his rival into a wall.

The 18-year-old is seen delivering a series of punches to the 17-year-old, who is then brought down and hit on the head.

The attacker appears to be carrying something while the victim repeatedly yells that his attacker has a knife.

“He’s got a knife, he’s got a knife,” the teenager can be heard screaming in desperation as his attacker grabs him from behind. “You, can you see that correctly? He has a knife.’

A crowd can then be seen forming around the couple, who continue to fight.

Members of the crowd can be heard asking the young attacker to “drop the knife”.

The 17-year-old student continues to brandish an object later confirmed to be a knife in a stabbing motion.

He can be seen ignoring pleas to stop the attack before a woman enters the frame and tries to help.

“He has a knife,” members of the crowd can be heard repeating.

A male employee approaches the couple before retrieving the knife from the attacker. “Are you crazy,” said the male employee.

“He just pricked the shit out of my hands,” the 18-year-old student is heard saying to the male employee.

The male co-worker calls out to another co-worker to help him fight and tells his co-worker that he now has the knife in his hand.

The Utica Police Department and the City of Utica School District released a joint statement about the altercation on social media.

“The teachers grabbed the suspect, forcibly disarmed him and held him until security personnel arrived.”

Authorities said the suspect was immediately removed from the scene and taken to a safe area.

The 18-year-old victim, who suffered multiple stab wounds to her back and hands, was treated by school nurses before being taken to hospital. The injuries are not life-threatening, police said.

After an inquest, police said the 17-year-old had been charged with first-degree attempted assault, a Class C felony and fourth-degree weapons possession, according to the Daily Sentinel.

He will answer his charges in Oneida County Family Court. The Utica Police Department said they will have an increased presence both inside and outside the school building.

“The Proctor High School campus will remain closed for the remainder of the week,” police said.

“Students are not allowed to leave the building during free periods and lunch. This process will be re-evaluated next week.’

Students were also advised to contact school officials if they felt traumatized by the event.

The Nightmare Before Christmas director said it was unfair that Tim Burton received all the credit for the groundbreaking 1993 film.

A San Antonio police officer who shot an unarmed teenager several times in a McDonald’s had tried to pass him the night before, according to police files.

Rookie cop James Brennand, 25, shot and killed 17-year-old Erik Cantu on October 2 while he was eating fast food in his car with a female companion in Texas.

It comes after exclusively revealed Brennand, 25, handcuffed the seriously wounded teenager as she gasped for air.

The now former police officer was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault on Oct. 11, but was an officer but was released the next day on $200,000 bail.

Cantu was rushed to hospital in critical condition, where he remains after multiple surgeries – and his parents remain hopeful he will be transferred from intensive care soon.

New police reports have revealed that Brennand came into contact with Cantu the night before the horror shooting in the same maroon BMW he drove the following night.

However, officials have declined to reveal the reason Brennand approached the teenager.

Brennand, 25, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault following the shocking shooting of Cantu

The officer did not give chase, but found that the vehicle’s license plates went back to another car.

According to KSAT, San Antonio Assistant City Attorney James Kopps tried to keep the public records under wraps.

In a statement to officers, Cantu’s teenage passenger said she was keen to get back in his car the following evening after becoming “upset” by his actions.

She said she told Erik she didn’t want to be “arrested or shot at” because of him, but eventually allowed him to pick her up at a friend’s house.

Brennand suspected the car was stolen and demanded that Cantu get out – with the teenager trying to put his car into reverse.

But the door caught Brennand, who quickly shot the driver’s side of the vehicle five times, wounding Cantu.

Cantu tried to drive further away, but Brennand kept firing, firing a total of 10 shots, four or five of which hit the teenager in the liver, diaphragm, biceps, chest and stomach.

Graphic body worn footage of the incident shows Cantu being shot dead as Brennand handcuffed him while he was critically injured.

Brennand, a probationary officer with seven months’ experience, was fired from his job on October 4 and will not be able to rejoin even if he is acquitted. He will appear in court on November 23.

Prosecutors dismissed the criminal charges against Cantu so that his family could be by his side while he recovered in the hospital.

At a press conference earlier this month, Cantu’s parents demanded that Brennand be charged with attempted murder, claiming it was a “racist” attack.

They allege Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales told them Brennand assumed their son was a suspect because he was “a Hispanic kid with a bowl-shaped haircut.”

The family also announced that there are more bodycam footage that is not publicly available and are calling for Brennand’s bail to be released.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said he believes “no one watching this video questions that the shooting is unjustified” and that the bodycam footage is “terrible” to watch.

“He’s in terrible pain!” Eamonn Holmes, 62, fractures his shoulder after falling down the stairs

Eamonn Holmes has fractured his shoulder after a nasty fall at his Surrey mansion, which has left him in “awful pain”.

The 62-year-old presenter underwent spinal surgery a few weeks ago for chronic back and leg pain, but shortly afterwards fell down the stairs and had to undergo another operation.

His representative told The Express: “He is obviously disappointed with the setback but the good news is that the surgery on his shoulder went well. He is now being looked after fantastically and resting.

“He’s in terrible pain!” Eamonn Holmes, 62, broke his shoulder in a fall down the stairs – resulting in him having to have another operation just weeks after undergoing spinal surgery (pictured earlier this year).

“Unfortunately, this means that Eamonn will likely need a longer time away from television than he initially thought to recover and heal.

“But despite being in terrible pain he remains positive and looks forward to doing what he loves most and getting back on TV and presenting on GB News as soon as possible.”

The spokesman concluded that the TV personality was grateful for the “wonderful care” provided by the NHS and “determined” to rest and get better.

Web has contacted Eamonn’s representative for further comments.

Eamonn and his wife Ruth Langsford were absent from the NTAs last month – due to his recent vital back surgery and their QVC schedule conflict.

The married presenter duo, who used to be regulars on NTA-winning show This Morning, are usually regular fixtures on TV’s biggest night.

But his recent health issues and her work with teleshopping channel QVC meant the pair refrained from sitting with their industry peers as they usually do on a star-studded night out in London.

The Northern Ireland presenter recently told his new channel GB News he had surgery around two weeks ago, speaking on October 5: “It’s early days, it will probably be around three weeks before they know if it’s been a success or not. ‘

Ruth, on the other hand, shared her busy schedule on her Instagram Stories, with one showing her traveling to and presenting on her fashion segment on the QVC teleshopping channel.

Eamonn, who suffers from shingles, has had to withdraw from his show to prepare for vital back surgery on September 28.

The television personality said he is “praying” ahead of the surgery, which will relieve his static nerves.

The broadcaster suffered from long-term problems and previously reported on its battle with chronic back pain after a dislocated pelvis led to three herniated discs.

He told The Express: “It’s an operation with a 20 per cent risk of going wrong, but the pain and limitations I’ve suffered over the past 18 months is such that I’ve decided I’ll do it.” am willing to take that risk.

“In fact, it’s a risk I’m willing to take because at this moment nothing could seem worse than the constant pain that’s running through my lower back and legs.”

He said he “prays for God to lead [his] Surgeon’s Hand this week” to help him get back to “the man he used to be”.

He went on to reveal to the publication that the agony can be so intense that sleep is sometimes its own “escape.”

He added that someone can be surrounded by family and friends, but severe pain can feel like your companion.

Before saying he hopes his recovery can bring hope to those who can no longer deal with their depression of anger and chronic pain.

By missing out on the NTAs, the couple missed out on their former regular presenting appearance, This Morning, which bagged a gong for best daytime show.

Holly Willoughby snuck out of the National Television Awards before Thursday’s ceremony was over, leaving Phillip Schofield to face the music when awkwardly asked about her ‘queue gate’ controversy.

Bad: Eamonn recently revealed he felt “humiliated” when his co-star Isabel Webster was forced to help him through the crowd while covering the Queen’s funeral outside Buckingham Palace last month

TV presenters were booed at the event as This Morning won the Best Daytime award after allegedly skipping the line to see the Queen lying in state last month.

Holly left the awards ceremony, held at London’s OVO Arena Wembley, just before 10pm, more than half an hour before the end of the ceremony.

The GB News presenter has previously revealed his feelings about her “queuing”. He made it clear that he didn’t believe his former colleagues, saying they screwed up.

Speaking to presenter Clare Muldoon, Eamonn said: “I’ll tell you what’s strategic. According to The Sun, why is Holly struggling to keep her job but Mr Phillip isn’t?

Clare replied, “Who knows? Twitter last night said she doesn’t want to quit her job at This Morning.

“Who wouldn’t want to give up £600,000 a year and everything else that comes with it? I think the stamp is very damaged. There has to be a top-down shift this morning.’

Eamonn, who presents his new show with Isabel Webster on GB News, temporarily stepped down from his role as co-host in June after being treated in hospital for his painful condition.

Last week he revealed he felt “humiliated” when his co-star Isabel Webster was forced to help him through the crowd while covering the Queen’s funeral outside Buckingham Palace last month.

The 62-year-old broadcaster is currently recovering from back surgery after struggling for a long time and previously opened up about his battle with chronic back pain after a dislocated pelvis led to three herniated discs.

And as Eamonn joined the show via video from home after his surgery last week, he reflected on how he felt with Isabel, 39, having to help him as he tripped and struggled on his crutch during his presentation schedule , and told her, “It was an issue for me.

As they chatted about their coverage of the Queen’s death and subsequent funeral in September, Isabel mused that they were “fighting the crowd” and explained: “There was a group of about eight people out all trying to get the royal procession and we walked arm in arm against the crowd and it was a long way.’

Praising his pal for his help, Eamonn then said: “You are one of my dearest friends in life Isabel and you go above and beyond.

“I mean, there is such a beautiful heart with you. But I mean it was humiliating for me. You got me through this crowd And I tripped a few times and my leg gave out a few times.

“And after that I was really a little bit humiliated. They didn’t make it a problem, but it was a problem for me.’

The broadcaster suffered from long-term problems and previously reported on its battle with chronic back pain after a dislocated pelvis led to three herniated discs.

Former This Morning presenter Eamonn had GB News viewers asking where he was when he was off screen and the journalist took to Twitter to clarify things, writing: “A lot of you have asked why I didn’t present GB News.

“Unfortunately, I had to undergo unexpected hospital treatment due to a recurrence of a long-term back condition and am now taking a short break to follow the doctor’s orders.

Awkward: Panelist Ruth remained silent after the dig - despite her husband Eamonn Holmes, who publicly spoke out against the incident last week

The US is running out of the common antibiotic amoxicillin for children – forcing parents to shop at multiple pharmacies

  • Four drug manufacturers that supply almost the entire country are facing a shortage
  • The liquid form of the drug is in short supply, they said
  • Officials drew attention to this last month when patients struggled to fill prescriptions

A common antibiotic used to treat ear, sinus, and chest infections in children is in short supply in the US.

Four drugmakers behind the nation’s supply of amoxicillin now have limited doses of the drug’s liquid form.

The Food and Drug Association (FDA) blamed a surge in demand for the shortage — with respiratory illnesses at unusually high levels.

Officials were alerted to the problem in late October when a growing number of patients were forced to shop at multiple pharmacies to obtain the drug.

Although the drug doesn’t treat viral infections like RSV and influenza, it can treat secondary infections like those caused by bacteria.

It comes amid shortages of the ADHD drug Adderall and oxytocin, a drug commonly used during childbirth. Both bottlenecks are due to problems in the supply chain.

Drug shortages have been exacerbated by the pandemic, which has led to an increase in demand for some drugs and staff shortages.

Amoxicillin — a common antibiotic used to treat ear and sinus infections in children — is in short supply in the US

Amoxicillin is available by prescription, either as a liquid or in capsule form.

It’s usually taken two to three times a day for about a week to treat many common bacterial infections.

The drug is an antibiotic and works by killing bacteria that make a patient uncomfortable.

Amoxicillin is one of the most popular antibiotics in the US, with four out of five Americans taking an antibiotic at least once a year.

Shortages of the liquid form of the drug were first reported three weeks ago.

The FDA has now confirmed the reports, although it’s unclear how long the disruption will last.

Sandoz – a Swiss company and one of the largest American suppliers – has listed eight of its 12 liquid amoxicillin products as “unavailable”.

Deliveries from the pharmacy giant are expected to be restricted until March 2023.

A spokesman said the drop in shipments was due to a “significant pick-up” in demand for amoxicillin.

They also blamed manufacturing restrictions, supply problems with raw materials used to make the drug, and the current energy crisis.

“We are currently facing a uniquely difficult situation,” they said. “We are working with key stakeholders, including governments, to find ways to manage this critical situation.”

New Twitter CEO Elon Musk confirmed the social media platform’s verified tick system will cost $8 a month after he was spotted leaving his mother’s New York City apartment following Heidi Klum’s Halloween party .

Musk, who also serves as CEO of Space X, was spotted wearing his “Occupy Mars” t-shirt as he left his mother’s house to head to Twitter headquarters on the second day of his $44 billion acquisition to go in New York City.

Making the rounds at his new company, Musk explained his plan for Twitter’s verified system on the social media platform itself.

“Twitter’s current Lords & Peasants system of who has a blue tick or not is bullshit,” the new Chief Twit wrote. ‘Power to the people! Blue for $8/month.”

A blue tick allows other Twitter users to verify that other users are who they say they are.

Musk added that those who sign up for the system get “priority on replies, mentions and searches, which is essential for fighting spam/scams, the ability to post lengthy videos and audio, half as many ads and bypassing the paywall for willing publishers to work with us.’

The world’s richest man had previously considered a $20-per-month Blue Tick verification fee, but appeared to lower the cost following criticism from horror author Stephen King.

Musk wants to make good on his promise to make the social media platform profitable by introducing a fee for Twitter users who want to keep their verification badge.

However, his plan of reportedly charging $20 a month seemed to displease King, who tweeted, “$20 a month to keep my blue check? Screw it, they should pay me,” wrote King, who has 6.9 million followers. “If that’s rolled out, I’ll be gone like Enron.”

Musk replied: “We’ve got to pay the bills somehow! Twitter cannot rely entirely on advertisers.

“How about $8,” he asked, which appears to be the price he’s settled on.

King isn’t the only Twitter user with blue ticks to threaten to drop his blue ticks if a fee is levied against the platform.

Actress, author and comedian Kathy Burke also said she wouldn’t pay, tweeting, “Musk can walk away with his idea of charging blue tickers. I give everything for this hell site for FREE.

“Naughty b**** should pay ME,” she added. ‘Don’t need the poxy thing anyway.’

Celebrities who have threatened to boycott the site include TV screenwriter Shonda Rhimes, actress Mia Farrow and Madam Secretary star Téa Leoni, She Hulk actress Jameela Jamil, and authors and activists Shaun King and Amy Siskind.

George Takei, who played Hikaru Sulu in Star Trek, also said he would consider walking towards the digital door.

Entrepreneur Jason Calacanis released a poll Monday asking people if they would pay $5, $10, $15 a month, or nothing, for verification. Around 81 percent said they would not pay on Tuesday.

“Interesting,” Musk replied to the poll.

Often bestowed on celebrities, politicians, business leaders and journalists, critics have derided the sign as an elite status symbol.

But Twitter also uses the blue tick to verify activists and people who suddenly find themselves in the news, as well as little-known journalists at small publications around the world, as an additional tool to curb misinformation stemming from accounts that themselves pass off as people.

Musk appears to have taken Monday’s criticism to heart when he decided to lower the proposed Blue Mark cost following his trip to Klum’s premier Halloween party.

The world’s richest man arrived at the party in a red samurai suit as reports surfaced that he was preparing to cut nearly 2,000 Twitter jobs, which make up about 25 percent of his workforce.

Musk looked triumphant as he posed on the red carpet in his armor, with his street clothes still visible underneath. It’s not clear how Musk was supposed to be dressed for Klum’s celebration

According to the website of high-end Abracadabra NYC costume store, Musk’s outfit is the Devil’s Champion leather armor set, which retails for $7,500. At the time of writing, the website states that there is only one costume left in stock.

The billionaire’s mother, Maye, was also present at the party and at Twitter’s offices on West 17th Street.

Twitter restricts some content moderation tools just days before the midterms

Days after Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter and just ahead of the Midterms in America, the social media site has curtailed some content moderation tools.

It can affect employees’ ability to stop misinformation since they cannot manually modify or penalize accounts.

The change is Musk’s last and comes after he made significant staff cuts and fired the Twitter board, making him the sole member.

Those who work in Twitter’s Trust and Safety organization can’t currently change or penalize accounts that violate the platform’s rules on misleading information, offensive posts, and hate speech.

According to Bloomberg, insiders say they can only punish people who post in violation of Twitter rules to the extent of the real damage.

They added that the team is manually enforcing these posts.

At Twitter, employees have dashboards called agent tools to suspend or ban accounts that have violated policies.

Policy violations can be automatically detected or reported by other Twitter users.

However, only Twitter staff can remove or suspend accounts using the dashboard.

But according to insiders, the tools have been out of service since last week.

It is claimed that this restriction was put in place when Musk took ownership of Twitter to prevent employees from requesting changes to the app.

Company sources, who asked to remain anonymous, revealed that the high level of access to the tools provided to employees has dropped from hundreds to just 15.
