Attracting children: potential victims wanted in Longueuil

Longueuil police are searching for possible victims of a 57-year-old man arrested on January 24 for luring children.

Gilles Croteau was arrested as part of an operation led by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) that led to the arrest of multiple people, aged 37 to 79, in connection with child pornography.

The 57-year-old person would have used several pseudonyms such as Francis, Jack and Charles, according to the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Department (SPAL), which believes the suspect may have had other victims.

The suspect, who resides in the Saint-Hubert area, faces multiple charges including manufacture of child pornography, luring children and distributing child pornography.

SPAL investigators are asking anyone with information about the suspect to immediately call the police at 450 463-7211 and promise the information will be kept confidential.
