The attack also coincided with the confirmation of the appointment of the fleet’s new commander, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, replacing Igor Osipov.
The changing of the guard came after the numerous casualties reported by the Navy in that sector, beginning with the sinking of the Moskva.
Slow operation
Observers are also reporting a slowdown in operations by invaders attempting to advance into the eastern sector. In return, they took responsibility for killing a hundred enemies, including 20 American volunteers, in the Karkhiv area.
