The Philadelphia Phillies are coming off a game in which they absolutely beat the Houston Astros to take a 2-1 lead in the World Series.

Philadelphia jumped on Lance McCuller’s Jr. and didn’t let up in Tuesday night’s 7-0 win, batting five home runs from him to tie a World Series record for most home runs by a single pitcher at a Fall Classic. Next, Cristian Javier will look to calm Philly’s monstrous bats in Game 4 on Wednesday night and prevent the Phillies from getting one step closer to one of the biggest upsets in World Series history.

Here are the best moments from Game 4.

Houston is heating up

Phillies starter Aaron Nola kept the Astros scoreless for four innings, but the dam broke in the fifth inning.

Houston hit five runs in the fifth to take a 5-0 lead while Astros starter Cristian Javier carried a no-hitter through four innings.

The offensive attack began with a single from Chas McCormick on Nola, followed by two more singles from Astros second baseman Jose Altuve and shortstop Jeremy Pena. With bases loaded and no outs, Phillies manager Rob Thomson removed Nola from the game and brought in left fireball Jose Alvarado.

But Alvarado got off to a rough start right away, hitting Yordan Alvarez with a throw and hitting McCormick to give Houston his first run of the night. Things only got worse for Philadelphia from there as Astros third baseman Alex Bregman smashed a brace into right field, scoring Altuve and Peña and extending Houston’s lead to 3-0.

With both inherited runners scoring, Nola’s last pitching line was four innings on three earned carries on seven hits, no walks, and four strikeouts.

But the damage didn’t end with Bregman. Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker threw a sacrificial fly into midfield, scoring Alvarez and bringing Bregman to third base, and Yuli Gurriel kept the offensive roll going, throwing a single into left field to hit Bregman and building Houston’s lead to 5-0 out. While Alvarado defeated Christian Vázquez and Aldemys Díaz to end the inning, the damage was done. – Joon Lee
