So, yesterday, while everyone was minding their own business, TMZ casually dropped photos of Selena Gomez and Tyga apparently hanging out together at 2:30am at LA ~hot spot~ The Nice Guy. The reports that they left the restaurant at the same time – Sel went in the back door and Tyga in front, and of course the internet immediately assumed they were dating / lost all chills. Especially since Tyga also appeared at Selena’s celebrity birthday party last month:

But before you jump to conclusions, a source “close to Selena” has since reached out to TMZ to clarify that she and Tyga are not a unit. As the outlet put it, “The two aren’t dating, they were there separately to see different people, and their groups ended up hanging out together indoors.”
Meanwhile, Selena has recently been linked to filmmaker Andrea Iervolino (they were spotted together in Italy), but a source recently told Us Weekly that they’re “just friends.” This source also revealed that Selena “is dating a bunch of guys and is keeping her options open,” saying, “She’s really happy and it’s perfectly fine to be single. She’s surrounded by best friends who are her biggest support system.” Apparently, Selena is also busy with work, and “now that she’s in her thirties, she sees this as a new and exciting chapter in her life.”
