According to Bloomberg, the American group Apple has decided to postpone its augmented reality glasses project.

Apple had plans to offer augmented reality glasses this year and after releasing a mixed reality headset. However, according to Bloomberg, the plans of the apple brand would have been turned upside down and the development of the famous glasses would have been postponed.
Technical barriers
And that’s not all Bloomberg tells us. According to American media, Apple, a competitor to Meta or even Google, is working on developing a cheaper mixed reality headset. But why these changes in the plans of the famous GAFA? For glasses, the reality is increasing, the hurdles would be of a technical nature. Regarding the mixed reality helmet, the Cupertino Group’s goal would simply be to reach a larger customer with a product at a lower cost than the other helmet. The non-Pro version could be marketed at the same price as an iPhone, between $800 and $1,600. This obviously isn’t affordable for all wallets, however, it should be noted that the Pro version should be sold at a price of $3,000. The low-cost version of Apple’s headphones could be available between early 2024 and early 2025. It could be called Reality One while the premium version would be called Reality Pro.
