Actress Anne Heche has been in a coma since a car accident in Los Angeles.

In a statement, a representative for the actress provided more details and said her health was “extremely critical.”

“At this point Anne is in an extremely critical condition. She has a severe lung injury that requires mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgery. She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since the accident,” the statement said.

The same representative said last Saturday the 6th that the family had asked for positive thoughts and prayers for the actress.

Heche was hospitalized on Friday the 5th after driving her car over a house, destroying the wall and entering the residence’s room. His car caught fire in the collision.

The website TMZ found that after another accident in a building’s garage, Heche had been speeding just before colliding with the house. It would all have started with her crashing into a garage, and as people approached, the actress accelerated and fled the scene.
