After quietly tying the knot with husband Jason Dirden at the Hilltop property just three months ago, the 50-year-old actress shared her first wedding photos while making her debut as a married woman on the cover of Brides.

For her special day, the Dreamgirls star wore a mesmerizing tailored gown with a plunging neckline and sheer sleeves, adorned with embroidered flowers by Alonuko Bridal, a London-based designer.

Discussing the design of the dress, Anika gushed, “We talked about the story we wanted to tell with the dress. [Our vision was] that of a rose in full bloom, but without being too fussy.’

She continued, “I didn’t want anything to wear to a red carpet either.”

The Tony winner completed her dreamy look with a pair of Badgley Mischka heels, white gold sapphire and diamond earrings and “and a vintage handkerchief embroidered with blue flowers” (from her aunt).

As for her makeup, she herself wanted to look “soft and pretty, touchable, ethereal, dreamy and full.”

Disney’s first black princess wore her gorgeous brunette locks in an elegant yet romantic low bun.

Her groom looked handsome by her side during the ceremony as he cut an elegant figure in a salmon-colored suit and a pair of flamingo-printed socks that were a gift from his bride a few years ago.

In pictures together, the newlyweds looked happy as they walked down the aisle and across white rose petals after exchanging vows.

“Without consulting each other, we ended up using the same phrase every time [of our vows]. We couldn’t have planned it better,” Anika enthused about the socket.

They engaged a string quartet and a “singer for Anika’s performance and her recession”.

For a sweet touch, the bride had her aunt handwrite the seat assignments, as she always “loved” her aunt’s handwriting as a child.

The couple had their first dance to Norah Jones’ Come Away With Me.
