In a press release published on Monday evening, the creator of the hummingbird flag, Anaïs Delwaulle, announced the withdrawal of her proposal from the competition organized by the CTM (Territorial Collectivity of Martinique). For several days, the young 28-year-old has been the target of attacks and rumors on social networks. After emerging from the silence by speaking on social networks this Tuesday, January 24, Anaïs Delwaulle agreed to testify in our newspaper at 1 p.m.

A wave of hate

The young entrepreneur reminds us that she has been in the spotlight for many years. But this time, that controversy seems to have gone too far.

Anaïs Delwaulle:

I heard their dissatisfaction after this election and absorbed a wave of hate, threats and insults. I preferred to withdraw to please those who disagreed.

She again mentioned the rumors that were circulating about her. But with her statement she wants to bring light into the darkness of cyberbullying.

On social networks, people forget that this is real life. You cannot hide behind an account and slander, give false information without verifying it. (…) Actually, I didn’t want to say it was me, but I was pushed to announce that it was me. I did and it still didn’t calm down…

” I am so disappointed “

But despite the messages of support, Anaïs Delwaulle called on lawyers to solve this cyberbullying problem she is facing.

It has to stop… someday I’ll be human first. And cyberbullying doesn’t just affect me.

Through tears, she said she was disappointed to have withdrawn her candidacy for the CTM competition.
