Ana de Armas returns to the cover of Vanity Fair Cuban Directory magazine

Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas once again graced the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, in its special issue dedicated to current and future Hollywood stars.

The Cuban, who has appeared in films such as ‘Blade Runner 2049’ and ‘No Time To Die’, wears a red dress along with other celebrities such as Selena Gómez, Regé-Jean Page and Emma Corrin.

Ana de Armas has expressed her pride of being part of this publication on her Instagram account, where she has more than 9.4 million followers. The magazine defines her as an artist who “has the energy of the ambitious” and is looking for challenging projects.

One such project is Ballerina, the action-packed John Wick spin-off, in which she plays a ballerina-turned-murderer out for revenge. The film is directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten and Emerald Fennell. It is expected to be released after the fourth chapter of the saga starring Keanu Reeves.

However, Ana de Armas has confessed that she is tired of action movies and wants to explore other genres after Ballerina. “I’m looking for projects that don’t make me feel like I’m on autopilot. I want to work hard because it’s fun, I love doing it, and it’s the only way to get better,” the actress told Vanity Fair.

Ana de Armas also identified with another iconic figure: Marilyn Monroe. The actress plays cinema’s most famous blonde in Blonde, a biographical film based on the novel of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates. “There are so many things I can relate to about her,” Ana said of Marilyn.
