American Big Brother Brazilian Indy Santos Eliminated From Reality

Indy Santos, the first Brazilian to compete in Big Brother in the US, dropped out of the reality show’s 24th season. The blonde was nominated for the Wall for a second time by Leader Taylor. The journalist, commissioner and digital influencer ended up receiving the most votes in the house and no longer competed for the prize of US$750,000 (approx. R$3.8 million at the current price). Because of the angel trial, she left the house dressed as a rocker.

Already part of the reality show top 10, Indy is still not returning to his homeland. She will be the first member of the Casa do Júri, the group of eliminators who will choose the big winner of the program. Since there was already a review in previous editions, fans of the attraction are speculating that the current season will also show the dynamic. The American Big Brother grand finale is scheduled for August 25th.

“It’s an honor to be a Latina in this country, it’s an honor to be the first Brazilian in this program. I moved to the US 9 years ago. From a favela in Brazil to one of the largest cities in America with only dreams in your suitcase. My dreams have brought me to where I am today, to meet you,” he said after leaving custody on North American broadcaster CBS.

In July, when Indy Santos’ name was confirmed on Big Brother in the United States, the flight attendant’s family said that by making the move to reality, they took another step towards realizing their dream of becoming famous. Her mother, teacher Jovanilda Rios da Silva, said that her daughter tried to enter the program in Brazil but was not chosen by Globo’s production. Indy’s wish was to use the jackpot amount to buy a house and give his family a better life. The Brazilian Big Brother contestant obtained American citizenship in July last year.
