Amber Heard Says She Still Loves Johnny Depp: ‘I Have No Resentments’

“I love him. I loved him with all my heart and I tried my best to make a deeply broken relationship work, but I couldn’t.”

Amber Heard made this statement in the second part of the interview shown on Wednesday (15) with the television channel NBC.

After a sixweek trial in a courthouse in Fairfax, Virginia, near the US capital, the jury ruled that Depp should be awarded more than $10 million in damages and that Heard should receive two million from her exhusband.

The actress continued to speak out about the feelings she has for the actor, even after “a total global humiliation,” as she described the process.

“I don’t have any hard or bad feelings at all. I know it can be hard to understand, or it can be very easy to understand — if you’ve ever loved someone, it has to be easy,” Heard told host Savannah Guthrie.

Heard says that once the lawsuit is settled, she will be back to being a fulltime mom to her 1yearold daughter “without having to juggle lawyers.”

“I think whatever happens, it’s going to mean something,” Heard said when asked what she would tell her daughter about the outcome of the case.

“I did the right thing. I have done everything to defend myself and the truth.”

Amber Heard has said she stands by “every word” in the defamation lawsuit she lost to exhusband Johnny Depp. She made this statement in an interview with the television network NBC, which published an excerpt on Tuesday (14).

During the trial, which was broadcast live, the two traded allegations of domestic violence and Heard was the target of abuse on the networks as the hearings progressed.

“I will keep every word of my testimony until the day I die,” Heard told NBC.

Depp has filed a lawsuit seeking $50 million in damages against Heard for an article the actress wrote for the Washington Post in December 2018, in which he described him as a “public figure, the domestic… represents violence” is described.

The actress, meanwhile, filed another lawsuit seeking $100 million after Depp’s attorney called her abuse allegations “rumor”.

  • In another excerpt from the NBC interview, she vented about the “hate” on social media.

Public opinion on the networks apparently sided with Depp, and Heard’s lawyers have accused the actor’s defense of launching a campaign to “demonize” them.

Heard said the trial was the “most humiliating and terrifying” situation he has ever experienced.

“I never felt like my own humanity was taken away from me,” he added, referring to the many dork trailers she had to go through to get into the courtroom.

Heard also told NBC that he did not incite violence during their marriage, her exhusband’s defense argued.

“I never had to instigate them. I have responded to them. [a violência] becomes normal, as I’ve seen, you have to adapt,” he said.

However, he said he regrets his own behavior during the relationship with Depp.

“I was acting horribly, almost unrecognizable to myself,” she insisted, adding, “I really regret it.”
