Amazon could take action against its delivery man who kicked a Laval resident’s package

The multinational Amazon could take action against its delivery man filmed with a violent kick destroy and, for no apparent reason, a Laval resident’s package last week.

“The situation you are referring to clearly does not meet our high standards of customer service and for that reason I can confirm that we are conducting checks and taking action where necessary,” Ryma Boussoufa, director of public affairs for Amazon, said via email Canada.

She responded for the first time to video of a delivery man destroying the glasses a Laval resident had ordered for Valentine’s Day by violently kicking the package. The incident, which was filmed by a surveillance camera, has been causing violent reactions among Internet users for several days.

Still employed?

Ms Boussoufa did not provide any information as to whether this delivery man was still employed by Amazon on Friday.

“Of course, we take our customers’ feedback very seriously and work directly with them to resolve any unfortunate situations,” she wrote.

Fahd Mohammed, the customer who received his package in a thousand pieces, had asked on Wednesday that the multinational do the minimum to meet the employee to “see what he has.” “Are they frustrated? Does he need help? I don’t know,” he said.

The Laval resident had disliked the delivery man’s temper at all and expressed his fear of ordering from Amazon again, citing fears for the safety of his wife and son when they are home alone.
