Last Saturday, August 6, it was announced that the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) would sell the TV rights for League 1 to the international broadcaster TNT Sports, thus taking over the broadcasting of the matches of the first division from 2023. That reported the Newspaper Libero. This news also generated an echo in the Professional Football Sports Association (ADFP), an organization that described this move, which would take place in Videna, as irregular.
What does it mean that the broadcasting rights are transferred to this foreign broadcaster? That the current signal is responsible for broadcasting the games of the first division, GolPerúwould be set aside for the following season.
As is known, GolPerú has total control over the games in League 1, but from 2023 16 out of 19 Peruvian clubs would become part of it TNT sports.

The only three institutions that would remain with the national television station would be Alianza Lima, Universitario and Cienciano. According to Libero, the other local tournament teams would be willing for the FPF to enter into negotiations with TNT Sports, bearing in mind that the bidding process will start shortly.
