The singer confided on Instagram in hopes of raising awareness among her subscribers when they cross her over with her daughter, Billie Lou, in public places.

Alicia first addresses the fact that people often refer to her as a friend, and that’s generally a positive. However, last week Alicia explained that she doesn’t want to expose Billie as much and that she’s been doing it since she’s gotten older and that she wants to keep some privacy.

Alicia continues with a situation that rocked her during the day that supports her decision. “I’ll put you in context.
