Alianza Lima will not start in League 1: "We see how we get Lozano out.

Speaking after a meeting with the representatives of the 7 clubs, César Torres, member of the Blue and White Fund, reiterated the position of not playing in League 1.

They don’t back down. After the government approved the start of League 1, the eight clubs that refused to take part in the tournament met with the aim of finding a solution to the dispute over the broadcasting rights they have with the FPF. In that sense was the first to speak Caesar Torres, a member of the Blanquiazul Fund, who said clearly that neither Alianza Lima nor the others involved will appear. He also left a message for Agustín Lozano.

“The eight clubs are together and we will not play. We are united to death and no one will show up. Why haven’t we released a statement yet? Because we see how we can get Lozano out,” he told the media.

A few days ago, an amendment was made to the precautionary measure filed by the FPF against the Consorcio Fútbol Perú, stating that The clubs that signed a contract in 2019 can broadcast their games on GolPerú. While these changes will benefit some teams, it would not have been enough to change the group position.

This way, the excitement is maintained before the competition begins. Aside from the organization announcing the programming, the intimate manager’s words again create uncertainty and should the eight institutions fail to appear, only one commitment would be played this weekend.

How would League 1 Date 1 be played?

As the organization of League 1 revealed, The competition begins its third day this Friday, February 3rd and ends on Monday, February 6th. However, if the aforementioned clubs (Alianza Lima, Universitario, Deportivo Municipal, Melgar, Cusco FC, Cienciano, Sport Boys and Binacional) cancel, there would only be the duel Alianza Atlético vs. Cesar Vallejo University.
