Alianza Lima attends a blood drive to help Roberto Chale

The awareness campaign is being promoted thanks to an alliance between the blue and white club and EsSalud, who are striving to help Roberto Chale and those most in need.

Alliance of Lima continues to develop solidarity initiatives beyond the pitch. This time, in collaboration with EsSalud, the intimate team ran the Hinchas de Sangre campaign, a solidarity action in support of former Universitario player Roberto Chale, who is in intensive care due to health problems. The initiative also wants to help people who need it most.

“Through this blood donation campaign we are helping many people and also Roberto Chale, to whom we are sending all our strength and affection so that he can recover soon,” said José Velásquez, Alianza Lima Legend Ambassador, through a publication on the club’s official website.

The donation day took place at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium and all the blood units received will go to the blood banks of the Guillermo Almenara and Rebagliati Hospitals. Former national team player Roberto Chale is being treated in this last hospital.

Alianza player Myriam Tristán, former players Leao Butrón and José Velásquez, and various staff at the Victorian institution attended the event. “All Alliance members feel obliged to participate in initiatives that strive for the common good. Today we also came to donate in the spirit of Roberto Chale. We wholeheartedly hope for his recovery,” said ex-goalkeeper Butrón.

What did Roberto Chale’s daughter say about her father’s health?

“Very grateful for the various activities carried out to help our beloved Roberto. He’s still very tender; For this reason we continue to ask for prayers for his health and for him to overcome this terrible evil that is diabetes. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the expressions of affection. He must be feeling happy… We continue to pray for you Dad,” read the message released this Thursday, February 2.
