The Tonale is offered in two trim levels, both powered by plug-in hybrid mechanics.
The starting price is about $14,000 more than the Dodge Hornet.
A Sprint entry-level version can be added later.
Alfa Romeo has opened the reservation list for the Tonale ahead of the start of production scheduled for late March.
This revealed the pricing structure of the new SUV. It will be available in the United States in two trim levels that share the same plug-in hybrid powertrain.
This combination of electric and internal combustion engine delivers 285 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels and offers an electric range of more than 30 miles in both versions.
The Tonale Ti is currently the most affordable, with a starting price of $44,995, which includes features like 18-inch five-hole wheels, LED headlights, cloth upholstery, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, a hands-free power tailgate, ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Uconnect 5 infotainment system in a 10.25-inch screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
The $47,495 Veloce trim brings sportier touches like 19-inch five-hole alloy wheels, adaptive suspension, dual chrome exhaust tips, black Alcantara upholstery with red accents, and pedals and aluminum paddle shifters. A different grille is also included in this model.
Both versions will also be equipped with a variety of driver assistance technologies such as front collision warning, lane departure warning, driver alertness monitoring and adaptive cruise control.

Additionally, a number of optional packages are offered for both versions of the Tonale, including the Active Assist Advanced package, which includes a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, intelligent cruise control, and traffic sign recognition, priced at $2,000.
The $1,500 Premium Interior Package includes leather upholstery and ventilated front seats, while the $2,500 Premium Interior and Sound Package also adds a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
A semi-panoramic sunroof can also be added for $1,200, and the Tonale Ti can be specified with a high-performance powertrain package that includes red Brembo brake calipers, aluminum pedals and paddle shifters. This package comes standard on the Veloce trim level.
It’s possible Alfa Romeo will add a more affordable version later this year called the Sprint to fill the gap with the Dodge Hornet built on the same platform, which is currently $14,000 lower in base price. However, it’s important to remember that this price is for the non-hybrid version of the Dodge.
Canadian pricing has yet to be announced, but the Tonale Ti should cost between CAD$50,000 and CAD$52,000.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in May for the United States and in the following months for Canada.
