Agricultural producers are asking snowmobilers to avoid their land

The various owners of private property and farmland once again call on snowmobilers to show respect so that they do not damage their property.

The Association of Lawn Producers of Quebec (APGQ), Quebec Association of Nursery Producers (AQPP) and Association of Christmas Tree Producers of Quebec (APANQ) urge snowmobilers to use designated roads to avoid crop damage.

“Some of these plants go into hibernation during the winter and need to be protected by the natural snowpack. Therefore, the passage of these vehicles can cause significant damage to the plantations and cause significant financial losses to the producers,” says a press release from the various associations.

These are a reminder that snowmobilers have access to 33,000 kilometers of marked and safe trails.
