Tatá Werneck claimed the alleged hacker’s phone secrecy had been violated, who gained access to their intimate conversations and began threatening them. The moderator announced last Friday, 12th, on social networks that she had suffered an attempt at blackmail and had reported the incident to the police.

Speaking to Lucas Pasin’s Splash column after the release on social media, Tatá Werneck said without elaborating: “These are very serious, serious threats, we’re very scared here.”
The presenter’s lawyer, Ricardo Brajterman, reported that legal action had already been taken.
“The investigation will ask about violations of telephone privacy to determine where the extortion came from. Criminalist Maíra Fernandes and I have already forwarded the report to the police department. This is another attempted cybercrime case where the criminal, either via email or apps, after getting personal information from the victim, even ‘hacked’ his cell phone, starts blackmailing them and asking for money, so as not to disclose intimate or private information,” he explained.
According to Brajterman, there are no suspects and everything indicates that the police station for the suppression of computer crimes in Rio de Janeiro is responsible for the investigation: “The police themselves will determine who will lead the investigation”.
In the Twitter post, Tatá Werneck wrote: “A hacker has gained access to my intimate conversations and is threatening me and trying to blackmail me. A police report has already been prepared and all media disseminating information resulting from extortion will be complicit in the crime.”
