AFL legend Billy Brownless’ daughter Ruby is in wedding planning mode following her engagement to fiancé Josh Wallis: ‘It’s such a fun time’
Ruby Brownless has been as happy as can be since she got engaged to longtime boyfriend Josh Wallis last month and has already started planning her wedding.
Josh proposed to Ruby, daughter of AFL star Billy Brownless, over Christmas and the couple are now working out the details of their big day.
“We had a celebration with family and friends and we’re working on whether it’s a destination wedding,” she told the Herald Sun on Tuesday.

She added: “It’s a bit like a love bubble. We make the best of it and get involved. It’s such a fun time.’
The couple spent Christmas together on Queensland’s scenic Hayman Island, and Ruby later shared a gallery of loved-up holiday snaps on Instagram.
“The past week has been a dream come true,” she wrote alongside the photos.

Ruby and Josh both come from football families: Josh is the brother of former Western Bulldogs star Mitch Wallis, and her father is former Bulldogs star Stephen Wallis.
After their engagement, the happy couple were immediately showered with congratulations from their friends and family.
‘OMG congratulations angel!’ Bianca Roccisano, founder of Booby Tape, wrote. “Congratulations, beautiful,” added Tayla Damir. “Oh best news ever,” wrote Nadia Bartel.
Ruby and Josh have been together since 2019.

It comes after dad Billy debuted his own relationship with a woman named Justine on race day of the TAB Champions Stakes Day last month.
“It’s really new and a nice little friendship. We’re making good progress and we’re taking it slow,” he told the Herald Sun in August.
It was a big moment for Brownless, who struggled through his split from wife Nicky in 2016 after 18 years of marriage.
That split was forced when Nicky sensationally started dating Brownless’ best pal, fellow AFL Legends and Footy Show host Garry Lyon.
