In the middle of an interview he gave to Puerto Rican journalist Saudy Rivera a few weeks ago, he commented on how this process, which began almost a year ago, has gone.
“For her (I do) everything, everything to see her well, whatever affects her affects me 100 times more. How to try to build him up also through all this step we live in so that it affects him as little as possible, making choices aimed at keeping him emotionally stable, even letting things hurt me can or who hurt me . “Build for them, it’s worth it,” she added tearfully.
In the same room, she admitted that she never thought she would be a single mom.
“No, I didn’t imagine that. I always wanted to have a family and I think I always fought for it, I saw it in my house with my father and mother. My family unit has always been very nice as everything always has its stuff but it was a very nice family unit and it is what I have been craving for all along and thought I had already had a setback and had finally found a partner again and I had a daughter that I wanted so badly because I thought that was it and everything is fine so it surprised me,” he was honest like never before. “Although I’ve struggled a lot to keep that family core alive, life has surprised me in other ways and today we continue to be a family because we’ll both always be Alaïa’s parents but in different ways,” he said.
He explained that at the time he made the decision to split from the dancer, his “biggest concern” was his daughter’s “well-being.”
“As painful as it would have been for me to make that decision today, I’m sure it was the right decision and at that moment I also felt that it was the right decision and that I was thinking of Alaïa had to, not in what you are going to say, in no position or person other than you and obviously me,” he claimed. “I believe that time heals everything, time has proved me right in some things, maybe in others I feel that the execution could have failed – not only in this but in other things as well – but I always have tries to do things for the sake of all parties in mind. I don’t think I’m the type of person who does things out of spite or hurt, or without thinking about it, and there have been difficult times when I prioritize my daughter’s emotional well-being above all else,” the Dutch native stated of Humacao .
Adamari López and Toni Costa confirmed their separation at the end of May after 10 years together and the conception of their daughter Alaïa.
